MDSG approached Matmi on behalf of Tourism and Events Queensland to develop a training platform aimed at educating travel agents about tourist destinations and hidden gems in Queensland thereby enhancing the travel agent's knowledge and motivation to promote Queensland holidays.
Administrators should be able to create, modify and delete topics and subjects using a variety of learning components, upload and delete contents, and set milestones affirmations to reinforce positive learning outcomes.
The research involved investigating certification generation methods and a range of game mechanics to engage travel agents.
The platform needed to revolve around different account types allowing administrators to access the admin portal, generating topics and subjects for quizzes, questions and informative content while travel agents can view and progress with their course, and receive a certification on completion.
The training platform can be accessed by travel agents and administrators.
The travel agent's portal records and tracks progress. Travel agents can receive achievements upon completing topics. A downloadable certificate is auto generated with travel agent's name after completion of the course. The training platform also includes a resource hub to provide additional information about Queensland.
